Monitor and Optimize Your Salesforce Processes with Marketing Cloud Digital Command Center for Slack
Marketing Cloud Digital Command Center is a Slack app that allows you to monitor and manage your Salesforce automated processes directly from Slack. It provides real-time alerts and insights about the performance and status of your automated processes, helping you to quickly identify and resolve any issues.
Rules:
At the heart of the Digital command center are rules, there are several pre-built monitoring rules that you can opt into as below:
- Skipped Automation Runs Rule: Receive alerts when an automation run is skipped.
- Automation With Errors Rule: Receive alerts if there's an error in an automation run.
- New Journey Version Validation Rule: Receive alerts if a newly published journey or journey version has no entries.
- Abnormally High Journey Entries Rule: Receive alerts if a journey's entries are a set percentage above the average.
- Abnormally Low Journey Entries Rule: Receive alerts if a journey's entries are a set percentage below the average.
- Journey Performance Thresholds Rule: Receive alerts if a journey doesn't meet specific performance thresholds, such as entries, sent count, open rate, click rate, unsubscribe rate, and bounce rate.
Customizing rules:
you have the flexibility to create multiple configurations for each rule and customize them to meet specific needs. Each rule has unique customizable configuration options and default options.
To customize a rule in Digital Command Center for Slack, follow these steps:
- Access the Rule Library: Go to the Digital Command Center for the Slack app in your Slack workspace and navigate to the Rule Library.
- opt into a Rule: Select the rule you want to customize and opt into it by following the provided instructions.
- Configure the Rule: Once you have opted into a rule, you can customize its configuration. This includes setting thresholds, defining exclusions, selecting notification channels, specifying action buttons, and choosing monitoring days. Each rule has its own specific configuration options.
- Save the Configuration: After making the desired changes, save the rule configuration.
Alert Notifications:
Receive real-time alerts in Slack whenever a monitoring rule is triggered. Alerts include informative messages, tagged Slack users, business unit details, consecutive days of triggering, and information about the specific rule that triggered the alert.
You can take action directly from the alert notifications with the help of action buttons. You can resolve issues, mute notifications, or create dedicated Slack channels for collaboration and discussion.
Daily Digest Report:
Generate and view a daily summary report of all the alerts and issues detected by the Digital Command Center for Slack in the last 24 hours. The report is generated at 8 am every day and provides an overview and allows you to navigate to individual alert details. The alerts in the daily digest are categorized into warnings and information.
For every rule configuration, the default behavior is to alert immediately which can be changed to daily digest if not critical.
Rule Ownership:
In Digital Command Center for Slack, only users with sufficient permissions can manage rules and rule configurations. When a user with the appropriate permissions connects to the platform, they become the owner of the initial rules and configurations for the associated platforms. Users gain access when they opt into a rule, clone configurations, or create new configurations. If any user deletes a configuration that will be deleted for everyone.
If an owner disconnects their account, the configurations they own will be deleted, so it's important to clone configurations before disconnecting an account to preserve them.
